Terms of use

By using StencilNest you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We may update the terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published here, dated 1 March 2025.

StencilNest provides website templates and a browser-based editor that assembles them into a static website you can download. The service is provided free of charge. There is no account, no subscription and no payment of any kind.

Templates and the files they generate are licensed to you on a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free basis. In plain terms, you may:

• Use a generated website for a personal, commercial or client project.
• Modify the code, design and content however you like.
• Publish it on any host, under any domain.
• Use it for as many separate projects as you want.
• Sell a website built from a template as part of your own services.

No licence needs to be bought or renewed.

There is one condition. Every generated website carries a small “Made with StencilNest” credit link in its footer, and you agree to leave it in place on sites you publish. It is the only thing asked in return, and it is what keeps the templates free for everyone else.

The one thing you may not do is redistribute the templates themselves as a competing template library or template marketplace listing. Build sites with them freely; do not repackage the collection as your own product.

Anything you type or upload in the editor remains entirely yours. It is processed in your browser and is never transmitted to us, so we could not use, sell or inspect it even if we wanted to.

You are responsible for having the right to use the images and text you add, and for making sure the website you publish complies with the law where you and your visitors are.

You agree not to use StencilNest to build or distribute material that:

• Is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes someone else's intellectual property.
• Impersonates a real person, business or public body in order to deceive.
• Facilitates fraud, phishing or the collection of credentials under false pretences.
• Contains malware, or is designed to harm visitors or their devices.

You also agree not to attempt to disrupt the service — for example by automated scraping at a volume that degrades it for others, or by probing for vulnerabilities without permission.

The service is provided as it is, without any guarantee of uptime. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time, including individual templates. Because your work lives in your browser and your finished site is a file you hold, a change on our side cannot take away a website you have already downloaded.

StencilNest and the files it generates are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that a generated website will meet any particular legal, accessibility or regulatory requirement that applies to your business. Templates are built to sensible standards, but the finished site is yours and reviewing it is your responsibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ziyad Almalki will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Since the service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Drafts are stored in your browser. Clearing site data, using private browsing, switching device or a browser eviction of storage will lose them, and we cannot recover them because we never had a copy. Download your ZIP as soon as the site is in a state you would not want to redo.

The site carries advertising. Advertisements are labelled and are never placed inside the editor canvas or on the download screen. One appears on the screen shown while your website is being built. You are never required to interact with an advertisement to use any feature. See the privacy policy for how ad cookies are handled.
